Welcome to the Ohio State Cosmetology and Barber Board Continuing Education Course.
This course has been developed to provide Ohio-licensed beauty and barbering professionals with relevant continuing education designed to support professional competency, regulatory compliance, and the safe and responsible delivery of services to the public. Continuing education is an important part of maintaining professional licensure because laws, rules, standards, and industry practices can change over time. Staying informed helps licensees understand their responsibilities and maintain the standards expected of professionals practicing in the State of Ohio.
Throughout this course, participants will review information applicable to professional practice and licensure under the Ohio State Cosmetology and Barber Board. The course is designed to reinforce knowledge of the laws, rules, responsibilities, and professional standards that govern Ohio licensees while helping participants recognize how these requirements apply to their everyday work.
This course is intended to satisfy applicable Ohio State Cosmetology and Barber Board continuing education requirements for the subject matter and credit hours for which the course has been approved. Participants are responsible for completing all required course content, activities, assessments, and other requirements established for successful completion of the course.
Successful completion means more than simply accessing the course. Students should carefully review each module and become familiar with the information presented. The goal is not only to earn continuing education credit, but also to strengthen each licensee’s understanding of the professional and regulatory responsibilities associated with holding an Ohio license.
Upon successful completion of all required course components, each student will receive a Certificate of Completiondocumenting completion of the continuing education course. Students should retain this certificate for their records and upload or submit it as required as part of the Ohio license-renewal process. The certificate serves as documentation that the student successfully completed the approved continuing education course.
Students are encouraged to review all course materials carefully and to keep their Certificate of Completion in a secure location with their professional licensing records.
